Peter Bior Kuch
VICE CHAIRMAN
Peter Bior Kuch was born in Sudan—now South Sudan—and came to the United States as a refugee. He resettled in Syracuse, NY, where he lived for six years before joining the U.S. Army in 2008. His decision to serve was driven by a desire to give back to the nation that welcomed him and thousands of South Sudanese refugees.
During his distinguished military career, Peter served as an Automated Logistics Specialist (92A). He successfully completed Airborne School and was assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division. Over the years, his diverse assignments have spanned Military Police, Air Defense Artillery (ADA), Infantry Brigade Combat Team (IBCT), Airborne units, and Special Operations. These roles have taken him to duty stations including Fort Bragg, NC; Camp Humphreys, South Korea; Fort Hood, TX; Vicenza, Italy; and Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA.
Peter’s operational experience includes deployments to Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia, as well as participation in humanitarian missions in Haiti following the devastating earthquake. His career reflects both combat readiness and a commitment to global humanitarian support. Today, he continues to serve with distinction as a U.S. Army Chief Warrant Officer (CW3).
Peter began his education at Onondaga Community College in Syracuse, majoring in broadcasting journalism. After taking a two-year break to work and support his family in South Sudan, he returned to school at Bryant & Stratton College. There, he earned his GED and an Associate Degree in Human Resources, reaffirming his commitment to education.
While serving, Peter continued to pursue higher education. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Leadership (BSL), a Master of Business Administration (MBA), and a Master of Science in Homeland Security with a concentration in Emergency Disaster Management and Logistics, all from Trident University. He is currently a doctoral student at Trident University, pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA).
Peter is married to his lovely wife, Elizabeth Lomeringole, and together they have four children: Imani, Theo, Nelson, and Leon. He also has an older son, Brandon Kuch, from a previous marriage.
