Where It All Began

Over the years, 3SDVA has expanded its programs beyond community events to include critical needs assistance, scholarships, career coaching, peer mentorship, and holistic wellness services. Guided by empathy and rooted in the military family perspective, 3SDVA has supported thousands of service members, veterans, and loved ones nationwide.

As the needs of the military community evolve, so does 3SDVA—continuing to adapt, innovate, and stand alongside families, inspiring all Americans to take action in support of those who serve.

3SDVA was established in 2015 at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, by a group of active duty service members who witnessed firsthand the challenges South Sudanese service members in the United States armed forces were facing during and after deployment. What began as grassroots efforts—connecting service members and families, providing direct support, and hosting local events—quickly grew into a nonprofit dedicated to comprehensive support for active-duty service members, veterans, and their families.
