Volunteers: The Heart of 3SDVA
Volunteers are the backbone of 3SDVA — a vital part of our story and our strength. From our earliest days, dedicated community members have stepped up to honor and support veterans and their families through their time, skills, and compassion.
In 2024 alone, more than 235 volunteers and interns gave over 17,200 hours of service — an incredible achievement that shows the power of community and commitment.
There are many ways to get involved! You can volunteer in areas like research, events, finance, administration, and outreach, or lend a hand at one of our veteran support events. However you choose to help, you’ll be making a real difference in the lives of those who’ve served.
Why volunteer with 3SDVA?
Do something you’re passionate about. Every hour you give helps improve the lives of veterans and their families.
Build your skills. Learn something new or strengthen the talents you already have while making a real difference.
Connect with like-minded people. Join a community of caring, motivated individuals who share your commitment to service and support.
Grow and be inspired. Gain experience, network, and find mentors in the nonprofit and veterans’ support sectors.
Be part of something bigger. Together, we’re working to create a fairer, more supportive world for those who’ve served our country.
