Crisis Support

You Don’t Have to Carry This Alone

At 3SDVA, we understand that the weight doesn’t always come off when the uniform does. If you’re in a dark place right now — overwhelmed, isolated, or thinking about harming yourself — there are people ready to stand with you.

Reaching out isn’t weakness. It’s taking control.

Get Immediate Help?

If you are in immediate danger:

  • Call 911‍ ‍or go to the nearest emergency room.

Veterans Crisis Line (24/7, confidential):

You don’t need to be enrolled in VA benefits to use this service.

How 3SDVA Stands With You

At 3SDVA, we’re built on shared experience. We know the transition, the pressure, and the silence that can come with it.

While we are not a crisis hotline, we are here to:

  • Help you connect with trusted resources

  • Support you in finding ongoing care

  • Walk alongside you as you rebuild stability and purpose

  • Connect you with a community that understands

If you reach out to us, we will help you find the right next step.

What You Might Be Dealing With

Many veterans we serve face:

  • PTSD and combat-related stress

  • Depression, anxiety, or anger

  • Substance use

  • Difficulty transitioning to civilian life

  • Loss of identity or purpose

  • Strained relationships

These are not personal failures — they are human responses to intense experiences. And they can be treated.

What You Can Do Right Now

If things feel like too much in this moment:

  • Call or text someone you trust — you don’t have to explain everything

  • Change your environment (step outside, sit somewhere safe and quiet)

  • Focus on your breathing: slow inhale, slow exhale

  • Put distance between you and anything you could use to hurt yourself

  • Avoid alcohol or drugs right now

Even small actions can help you get through the next few minutes.

For Family, Friends, and Battle Buddies

If you’re worried about a veteran:

  • Don’t ignore warning signs

  • Ask directly if they’re thinking about harming themselves

  • Stay with them if you can

  • Encourage them to contact the Veterans Crisis Line

  • Call 911 if there is immediate danger

Your presence matters more than having the “right” words.

A Message From 3SDVA

You’ve already proven your strength. But you were never meant to fight every battle alone.

There is a path forward — even if you can’t see it right now. Let someone stand beside you until you can.
